What a privilege it's been for me to have the opportunity to
walk this joyful green path with Ellen over the years. A fantastic gardener,
teacher, and wonderful community herbalist, she is quite simply one of the
most vivacious and uplifting individuals I know. Being around her is being
around a spark of radiant light. I was amazed to visit her gardens in
Austin, Texas. Amidst live oak and cedar elms, she's created a sanctuary for
plants and people. Ellen's work with United Plant Savers has been exemplary.
She's one of our most active members and has done much to spread the word of
medicinal plant conservation to the Austin community.

EchinaceaTincture- It may be hard to spell or pronounce, but when you take
some, it's easy to see the powerful effects of this magical immune-booster.
In my youth, I was sick a lot; five, six times a year; high fever; out for a
week. Then in my forties I discovered Echinacea, and the moment I feel
the slightest twinge of a bug comin' on, I take it, and the next day that

wanted to share a special story with you. We have been struggling with
Asa's belly problems for over a year. After much testing, and many
doctor appointments, at age 3 they wanted to give him prilosec (for
life). Eli and I thought that there must be a root cause to all his
problems: dehydration, unwilling to drink anything, constant stomach
aches, diarrhea, intense mood swings, anger, pain, frustration over the
smallest thing, dark circles under his eyes, lack of energy, total
exhaustion, sensitivity to sound and light. Well, we decided to look at
his diet and had already removed dairy, so when all the "tests" said no
allergies, we were stumped. My sister said "try removing gluten" so as a
last ditch effort we did! And wow! What a difference. Even though they
had run a number of tests for gluten intolerance, nothing showed up.
Once the gluten was gone from his diet, all the symptoms left instantly.
Our only problem was that he still did not want to drink anything, which
would lead to dehydration. We drink mainly water here and a little
juice, but juice is too strong for his tummy. Long story short, he
started asking for warm tea and I have been giving him your
EZ Herbs Relax Tea (very
diluted) with a bit of honey and almond milk. He gobbles it down and he
is super calm and happy after drinking a cup. From there he will drink
water or almond milk happily all day. This tea has CHANGED OUR LIVES!

I started using
EZ Herbs Calendula
Salve about 2-3 yrs. ago when my friend Jenny from the Herb Bar
recommended it for my daughter's diaper rash. It worked wonders!
Then I discovered that it worked for the skin rash she was developing
from animal dander as well. Since then I have used it on her skin
for any kind of irritation, such as chlorine etc. She is very fair
and with red hair so her skin is very sensitive. The calendula
salve has been a savior and so much so that almost 3 years later and
half way around the world, I am still ordering it. Our family just
moved to New Zealand and we ran out and had to have a visiting friend

I had a bout of gout in my right toe and the pain would just not completely
go away. I took a number of the right good remedies internally (like
asorbate C and black cherry extract) and those swiftly cleared it up by at
least 50% within a day or so. I then applied a number of homeopathic
ointments topically to the toe joint that healed it even further until just
10% was just hanging in there still annoying the toe joint. Then in
desperation I drove all the way down to South Austin to purchase and try out
EZ Herbs' small bottle of Knitbone Salve and within three days that last
stubborn 10% of the gout finally au revoired. I highly recommend this
traditional and powerful salve for appropriate topical use when a stubborn
gout pain just won't go away!

As we get older our skin's tolerance changes.
The corner of my outer eyes have become sensitive to my make up (same
products I have used for years). The skin becomes red, thin and itchy. My
dermatologist gave me a prescription steroid type ointment that makes you
sun sensitive (which a gardener doesn't need). I choose not to use the
prescribed meds and started to used a little extra Queen of Hungary's Water
on the corner of my eyes in the morning and before going to sleep. In a
couple of applications the skin is healed of and no longer thin and
sensitive. The healing properties of this product are great. Thank you for

When I quit smoking four years ago, I developed asthma (or asthma-like
symptoms). For years, I was able to use a homeopathic remedy that
alleviated the symptoms after they started, but not completely. I have
used the
Respiratory
Resolve tincture daily (one dropper full) as
a preventative for about 8 months. In that time I have only
experienced asthma once, other than maybe briefly in the mornings before I

Ellen Zimmerman, of EZ Herbs, presents
about one herb class each year for our customers at the Natural Gardener.
These are always popular classes with our customers; this year’s class
attracted about 50 attendees
I always learn something new about herbs at Ellen’s classes,
even though I have been an amateur herbalist for over a decade. She
teaches us about herbs, their culinary and medicinal uses, and their growing
conditions in an easy-to-understand, organized, and friendly way, with a
great sense of humor. Ellen’s talks incite our enthusiasm about herbs, of
course, but also give us an understanding of organic gardening and our
natural environment, as well as a keen awareness of and a responsibility for
our own health.

recently moved from Austin, TX to Florida so of course I can't get it
