Medicinal Herbalism: The Basics

Saturday, July 18, 2009 9:30am-4:30pm

9:30am-4:30pm

8803 Bear Creek Drive

How do I get there?   Check the map and get driving directions.

In this class we’ll discover the most useful, easily grown herbs in our Central Texas environment. You will meet, sample and learn about Ellen's Dynamic Dozen Herbs .

You will learn how to harvest, store and use herbs most effectively.   We will sample and discuss the benefits of herbal teas (infusions and decoctions), herbal salves, powders and herbal tinctures.  If the weather permits a garden tour will be included.  This class is geared towards the beginning herbalist, but some knowledge of herbs or gardening is helpful, but not necessary.  Also included are handouts and herbal teas.  Please bring a pot luck dish to share for lunch.
