Austin School of Herbal Studies

Ellen Zimmermann founded the Austin School of Herbal Studies in 1995. The school is located at Ellen's home, in her gardens and on her 5-acre botanical sanctuary located in the Hill Country just south of Austin, Texas. The school offers a variety of herbal classes including the culinary, medicinal, skin care and gardening aspects of herbalism. Also offered is a ten session Herbal Intensive which covers specific herbs that are beneficial to each bodily system; including the Immune, Reproductive, Digestive, Nervous, Urinary and Respiratory systems. Ellen facilitates most classes but she also invites other Herbalists from the community to teach at her school. She invites you to register for a class and visit a Central Texas garden full of medicinal herbs, native plants, wildflowers and whimsy.
